I was reading some of my previous comments on the photos that I've posted and I noticed a striking theme. It seems I am never fully happy with my pictures. My first instinct was to stop post negative remarks regarding my own work but then I thought about it a little more. Is it really such a bad thing to never be fully satisfied with your own work? Is it even possible to be completely happy with your own work?
After some thought, I just solidified my belief that it would actually be quite a negative indicator if I was always fully satisfied with my photography. My seemingly negative opinion really only will make me a better photographer, artist and even person over time. When I see the straight out of the camera picture, I often think immediately of how it could have been composed better or how I should have used this or that setting. Once I get beyond that point, I usually do some small edits that I just about always think could be executed better or using better methods within Photoshop and/or Lightroom ultimately improving my artistic sense and abilities by trying new methods and techniques.
I sincerely believe that if you don't have an extremely critical eye when evaluating your own work then your really just not trying enough. What do you think?

First of all - amazing picture!
And then on to your question. It's also really rare that I'm perfectly satisfied with the pictures I take, and I believe you're absolutely right. But then it's not like I'm trying to be critical when I'm looking at the pictures I take - it's an unconscious thing to do for me.
Totally beautiful!
This is awesome. The colors are right, the edit is very well done, and the layout/crop is great. You should be satisfied with this one.
