I've been a bit into black and whites lately but for a shot like this, it just makes sense. It really brings out the shadows and highlights that normally wouldn't be so prominent.
Quick update for today because I have lots to do before flying up to Boston for the holiday weekend but on a side note I did fix a few little things that I just hadn't noticed with the site. Small sutff like the fact that the ISO value from the exif data was showing where the 'did not fire' or 'fired' value should have been showing for flash. If you ever notice any weird little errors like that please shoot me an e-mail because most likely it is being caused by me being slightly careless and staring at code for hours upon hours.
Since I'm talking about site stuff, I'm still very bugged by the fact that the Google Map legal jargon on the GPS-tagged photos is spilling over from the right sidebar into the left content area but legally I can't hide it (per Google Maps API Policy) although it is annoying me enough that I might just take my chances. I know Jeff Croft had the same complaint and he decided to just hide it until Google says something which they haven't now for at least 4 months since he started it. Just a little annoyance of mine that I wanted to put down in writing.
