Lately, textures have been really catching my attention. Whether its sand, concrete or wood like in this shot there is so much detail to be captured in all of the place we so easily overlook. That being said, no everyone considers this type of photographic subject even remotely interesting let along high quality. Obviously I'm not one of those people and neither is one of my favorite photographers, Andy Bell who runs Deceptive Media. He has an uncanny ability to take what most would consider a shot of nothing and turn it into something beautiful, interesting and even thought provoking. Take a look at a few of his shots for example: Red Warning Stripe, Porthole I, Porthole II, 11 Rivets and 0658. Amazing huh? He easily has 100s more in his archives along with tons of amazing other pictures that you won't regret taking the time to check out.

I'm very fascinated of textures too. It's kind of like discovering a whole new world, when getting close enough to be able to capture the textures of things.
Really cool tip about Andy Bell, his photos are amazing. Thanks! :-)
